We are proud to give our support to a fantastic group of young tech entrepreneurs who are working on enhancing tech entrepreneurship and startup communities in Serbia.
These young people are gathered around a non-governmental organization, Startit, and their mission is to educate 100k people in the tech community in the next five years.
Kickstarter has proven to be a tremendously useful platform for promoting exciting new businesses products and innovative ideas, but not every day you find an idea that could serve communities worldwide.
Startit has been playing an important role in building a startup community in Serbia.
For the past five years, they have been supporting and helping the growth of technology-driven businesses, motivating young enthusiasts and visionaries to create more IT businesses in Serbia.
Through events, projects and workshops, the community has helped more than 12,000 people develop and improve their skills and learn more about tech entrepreneurship.
How to bring free tech education in the next five years?
To empower Serbian tech community and entrepreneurship, Startit launched a Kickstarter campaign to seek support for building educational tech centers across Serbia (in 12 cities) that will offer free tech education to anyone interested in tech industries.
Their goal is also to create an online learning platform in Serbian to help anyone interested in the information technology sector make their first steps.
But, why does this matter?
The first Startit Center is officially open in Belgrade – it’s a co-working area with 40 spots, a maker space, rooms to receive up to 200 people for three workshops to be held at the same time and a library of 10,000 free books.
“Startit Center will be the place where this revolution will be set in motion.”
The Center will offer current business and tech educational content, mentoring and coaching for young professionals, tech courses, and many opportunities to learn or work with the extensive network of professionals.
Some of the most successful Serbian and global companies have supported the initiative, which only confirms both the potential and importance of the project. By pledging 999 dollar,s, Eton Digital has received a Serbian tech partner community reward and joined many that want to help to bring free tech education to people.
Why do we believe in the initiative?
One of the core values from which we develop our culture that we, in Eton Digital, live by is to drive change, and we believe these people can indeed bring change and make a difference.
We take pride in having a community of creatives and passionate people who love what they do and make the “impossible” – achievable, and that’s why we are always ready to support anyone who believes in turning “could-be” into “can”.
Moreover, we are happy to be part of the initiative as we have recently introduced our startup, OrganicNet, and have helped many start their businesses; thus we understand the importance of providing means and skills for young and ambitious people who want to start an IT business.
What can you do?
Join us in building a better society!
Although they reached their goal, as the campaign was a huge success, you can still spread the word as there is more work to be done. Together, with Startit Centers, we can help bring free tech education to 100,000 people in the next five years.
Keep up to date with the latest news.
