Case study
Booking application
MyWorkMode is a web application that helps individuals and healthcare businesses discover and book locally available vetted carers. The platform shows healthcare workers’ live availability to work in the next 7 days allowing instant access to qualified carers in the preferred, local area at an affordable price.
The workshop with the client resulted in us fully understanding the business requirements and the needs of the users.
After the initial meetings, we created a detailed sitemap, user flows for each user type, a product backlog, and design style, which we used to create a complete company branding.
Our focus was on creating an engaging UX that enables an easy and simple booking functionality.
We have created an effective and delightful user journey, steering visitors towards their goal, focusing on the action and user engagement.
The logo is a combination of the heart shape symbol and an inverted-drop-shaped pin icon. The heart in its symbolic sense is a center of emotion and the pin ideograph presents a location on the map.
The two symbols were an inspiration for us to create an association between healthcare and locality.
MyWorkMode has a specific target audience, and our approach to visuals was to use warm colours to create a user-friendly, undemanding and clear interface that responds to the users’ needs and invites them to act.
The combination of purple and turquoise created a distinction between genders. The yellow colour complemented the warm and inviting experience.
Simple, attractive custom illustrations create a more engaging and intuitive UI, adding more delight to the user journey and guiding them easily through the platform features.
The design with such a straightforward form of communication represented in illustrations brings a recognisable and memorable impression and experience.
MyWorkMode uses Material Design because of its adaptable system of components and tools that support the best user experience.
Components such as text fields, font icons, check box, radio buttons, toggle, dropdown menu, snack bar and slider are simple and clean. We have stylised them to fit the user interface design of the MyWorkMode platform.
MyWorkMode was envisioned as a simple web application that connects carers and clients.
When a client enters the desired location, all available carers are shown on the map. To specify the search, the employer can apply different filters, such as radius, gender, and availability. Clicking on the pin, one can see the carer’s profile and ratings, and reviews before deciding to send a booking enquiry.
Oriented towards making a real connection between people, the user profiles present important information in a clear, straightforward design. The profile contains personal information, which is hidden until the booking is accepted, and the reviews section.
One of the project’s business requirements was to enable the users to be anonymous once the engagement period ends.
Once the job assignment is completed, the personal information is no longer available to the users who have established a work engagement.
Security is the priority for this type of service. The carers and employers go through a detailed background check. Their identity, professional references, qualifications, criminal record checks and company status are verified by the administrator before they can join the platform. Once verified, their profiles are approved.
To ensure the highest quality of service, all personal information provided by the carers and the clients is hidden until the booking is accepted.
MyWorkMode uses booking tokens trading at parity to British pounds. The booking tokens are introduced to be a convenient and consistent unit and an easy way for users to utilise the platform. The clients are charged only if the booking is accepted.
User reviews enable the users to make trusted, unambiguous decisions before they send the booking enquiry. After the engagement ends, both users receive the email reminder to review and rate the experience.
The reviews and ratings are shown on the users’ profiles to help both the employer and the carer choose the right person with whom they want to work with.
Symfony adopts and features the most modern principles and patterns in Web development and is capable of bearing the weight of a large system with hundreds of thousands of users and heavy traffic.
Learn moreReact’s modularity and scalability make the library our first choice when working on large web applications that display a lot of changing data. We love working with React because it provides simplicity, handles complex updates, and remains fast and stable.
Learn moreBecoming a true extension of the MyWorkMode team, we worked very closely to create an on demand, fast and safe booking application that is promoting a new, easy way to a healthcare booking experience and rewards both the healthcare workers and clients.
